Simon Gawesworth is a world-renowned authority on modern day speycasting techniques.

Simon's father taught him to fish at the age of 6. Now 45, he has been teaching fly casting professionally since he was 16.  He has both cast and fished for England in British, European and World Championships and was elected Captain of the England team for the 2003 World Fly Fishing Championships.  Simon is A.P.G.A.I. and S.T.A.N.I.C. certified in the U.K. and C.I., Master and T.H.C.I. certified in the U.S.  Simon's articles appear regularly in the fly fishing magazines.  He is also widely acknowledged as one of the world's leading authorities on spey casting, having taught and demonstrated his casting skills around the world.  His excellent videos "International Spey Casting" and "RIO's Modern Spey Casting", both produced with Rio Products, are recognized as among the finest instructional videos on spey casting.  As well as his videos, his book 'Speycasting' has been a great success and is looked upon by many as the definitive guide to modern day casting techniques.
