Eoin Fairgrieve's teaching centre is located on the world famous River Tweed system in Scotland.

The Centre of Excellence specialises in education and instruction of modern single and double-handed casting techniques in the stunning surroundings of the Scottish Borders.  The Centre benefits from a well-stocked teaching lake and education facility, private salmon fishing on the River Teviot and a brand new Loop Pro-Shop selling the 2010 range of tackle by Loop Tackle Design.

The educational and retail division of the Centre is located at the Roxburghe Trout Fishery. The fishery is situated in the stunning surroundings of the Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course and benefits from newly constructed classroom and retail facilities, disabled access platforms, educational information boards and an environmental education lake.

The retail element of Centre of Excellence carries the full selection of tackle by Loop Tackle Design, including the new Classic Spey Rods and Spey Lines designed by Eoin Fairgrieve.  At the Centre of Excellence customers can try our unique tackle-testing facility located on our private lake or salmon beat on the River Teviot.  They can try the latest rod and line combinations in either a riverside or lakeside environment, before purchase through the Centre’s retail facility or online shop.  With expert guidance from Eoin Fairgrieve, customers can be custom-fitted to the correct tackle for their individual casting style and ability.

The salmon fishing division is located on the Centre’s own private beat on the Sunlaws stretch of the River Teviot. The Sunlaws beat is 1.8 miles long and consists of 11 named salmon pools set in a stunning woodland and parkland area about three miles upstream of the Junction pool at Kelso. With wide, streamy water, Sunlaws is the perfect environment to learn all aspects of doublehand casting and salmon fishing. The Centre of Excellence also lets salmon day tickets on the beat throughout the season.
