The premiere of the Atlantic Salmon Reserve's new film "Home of Salmon" was held recently at the British Academy of Film and Tevevision Arts.

Loop's new Opti Power Spey rod was recently voted 'Best in Test' in the 15ft rod review in the March 2010 edition of the Trout & Salmon magazine.

This year's Trout and Salmon Tweed Angling Fair will be held on the 1st & 2nd May 2010 next to the world Famous Junction Pool on the River Tweed in Scotland. This is the 5th year of this very popular show. Amongst the experts participating in the event are Hywel Morgan, Scott MacKenzie, Michael Marui from Germany, Thomas Berggren and Michael Frodin from Sweden. The event is over two days and attractions include Fly Casting and Fly Dressing Competitions, The River Tweed Environmental Zone and a large retail village.

The Snap 'T' Cast is an excellent cast for strong upstream wind conditions and is a very effective alternative to a Single Spey. The cast is a 'Sustained Anchor ' style cast and is one of the standard casts when using Skagit fly lines and fishing techniques. The video was filmed at Eoin Fairgrieve's teaching centre in Scotland and is a brief insight into the mechanics of the cast.

Eoin Fairgrieve will be hosting a week on Russia's famous Kharlovka and Eastern Litz rivers on the 7th - 14th August 2010.
