The Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course is our accommodation partners and is a beautiful fishing hotel offering first-class salmon fishing on the world famous River Tweed system in Scotland.

Whether you are an avid fisherman or an enthusiastic novice, the Roxburghe Hotel has everything you need for a perfect fishing break in the beautiful Scottish Borders.  Owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the hotel nestles amongst well-tended woodlands on the banks of the delightful River Teviot.  All 22 bedrooms have been individually designed, many by the Duchess of Roxburghe herself.  Some rooms have four-poster beds and log fires and all have a unique and charming character.  The Roxburghe is renowned for its quality of food with all fish, meat and game sourced locally and cooked to perfection. To complement the cuisine there is an extensive list of wines from around the world including a selection of fine and rare wines from the Duke's own cellar.     

Fishing at the Roxburghe:

The Roxburghe has access to four salmon beats: the famous Upper & Lower Floors on the River Tweed and Sunlaws & Upper Roxburghe on the River Teviot.  Fishing is either from the bank, wading or from boats and ghillies and equipment hire can be arranged by prior arrangement.  Eoin Fairgrieve is the Roxburghe's fishing consultant and is available for individual, group or corporate instruction by prior arrangement with the hotel.  If you are interested in the various fishing opportunities on offer at the Roxburghe, contact Eoin direct at eoin@speycast.co.uk or 0771 5977060 to discuss your requirements.

Golf at the Roxburghe:

 

As well as the range of fishing opportunities, the hotel also benefits from an 18-hole Championship Golf Course. The golf course was designed by Dave Thomas and is located only a few steps away from the hotel.  Built in 1997, the course has hosted many high profile tournaments including the Senior Scottish Open and the British Amateur Boys Championship.  With its natural contours and stunning Border's landscape, this scenic Par 72 course is an excellent addition to your fishing experience at the Roxburghe.  For further information about the golf course, checkout www.roxburghegolf.co.uk 

Shooting at the Roxburghe:

The Roxburghe specialise in Clay Pigeon Shooting.  Administered by Alistair Ferguson (CPSA Senior Instructor in Sporting, Skeet and Traps), the shooting school offers many different disciplines ranging from Driven Grouse to Spring Teal and High Pheasant.  The Roxburghe Shooting Centre will introduce novices to the art of clay pigeon shooting while the enthusiast can enjoy lessons tailored to their own level of shooting knowledge and experience.
